It is a fact that bacterial activity within fuel, lubricating and hydraulic oils can lead to extensive damage in marine, industrial and transport machinery. Problems such as corrosion, impaired performance and filter blockage can all arise from the presence of bacterial contaminants.

Detailed microbiological examination of fuel will, of course, always be required, however one simple way of reducing the risk of these problems occurring is by regular monitoring using fuel dipslides.

These easy-to-use kits allow for the monitoring of general bacterial levels within fuel, and can therefore give a good indication as to whether remedial action may or may not be required.

Supplied in boxes of 10, each slide is capable of providing counts for general bacterial contamination of fuels, as well as counts showing the presence of Yeasts and Moulds.
