Commercial Microbiology^® offer a range of bacterial growth media and accessories for use in oilfield process water and cooling systems, manufactured in accordance with NACE, ICorrST and API recommendations.

Broths / media can be made to one of four formulations to suit the salinity of the system under investigation - Freshwater; Seawater; Produced water; Brine.

• GHB Growth Media (also known as GAB)
  Media suitable for the isolation of heterotrophic bacteria:
  • Phenol Red Dextrose (PRD) broth - for acid producing heterotrophic bacteria
  • Standard Bacteriological Nutrient (SBN) broth - for heterotrophic bacteria
  
  
• GanB Growth Media
  Media suitable for the isolation of anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria:
  • Fastidious Anaerobe (FAB) broth - for anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria
  • Thioglycollate (TGC) medium - for anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria
