Cleanliness of drinking water and quality of diesel on board supply boats and
standby vessels is of great importance to the crew, the companies involved and
those to whom it is eventually supplied.
Crew and offshore personnel alike rely on the quality of potable water to be of
a standard acceptable for drinking, as any 'unclean' water consumed could lead
to outbreaks of illness both on board vessels and offshore installations.
Likewise, usage of diesel which is of poor quality or contaminated can lead to
problems once it had been discharged onto an installation due to the sensitive
nature of machinery and equipment as well as on the vessel itself.
Hydrocarbon contamination of potable water tanks can also be an issue. Our
clients can be made aware of any potential problems by having water tanks
sampled for hydrocarbons.
This is why sampling and analysis of water and diesel should be performed on a
regular bases in order to ensure the quality is of acceptable standards.
We have sampling personnel, fully trained to take the samples in an efficient
and undisruptive manner. Once delivered to our laboratories, qualified staff
will perform accurate analysis on the samples, and provide speedy results
either via fax, email or over the phone, as well as a final typed report.
Just one call to Commercial Microbiology® can be all it takes to ensure potable
water and diesel on board supply boats and standby vessels is of the quality
demanded.
